A new Tutoring program that combines Gymnastics (Pink Pearl Gymnastics) and a place to catch up on school work and even get ahead in your education (Pearl Academy). This after school program lets parents drop off your child and they will get 3 hours of dedicated time for both gymnastics training and then tutoring. The subject that you need the most will be the focus. Any subject for ages 4-12 will be available for tutoring.

Tutoring works
Tutoring has been a proven method to get anyone prepared for the topic or subject. In many ways another focus on any subject can tilt the process of learning in a persons favor, if only by shifting the perspective. This article by Liz Cohen talks about how children are still recovering from the COVID educational loss. Our children are still behind and the best way to help them is through tutoring. At Pink Pearl we are true believers in our tutoring and summer bridge programs that really help kids not only catch up but surpass where they should be.
Tutoring Helps to focus
When a child get the attention they need to learn it is an amazing thing. Many of our student are either afraid to ask for help, or don’t even know what they need. We have watched many student just sit and stare into space because they don’t know what to ask. We watched one student who was in the process of being put in the autistic category, suddenly excel in studies just because our instructors noticed the pattern. She would seem to go into another world because she didn’t know how or what to ask for in help. Tutoring helps children learn what to ask and when to ask.
One on One Help
One on one help allows both student and teacher to build up a trust that makes it OK to not know something. To find ways to ask that are not embarrassing or unfriendly in nature. When the trust develops the students are free to not know what they don’t know. Everyone at times in their life need someone to help them with knowledge even when we didn’t know we needed help.
